And the biggest loser is…

And the biggest loser is……. Rudy, Danny, Amanda?

Tonight was the finale and the biggest loser was full of surprises. We first got started by weighting in the contestants that got eliminated and did not make it to the final three. The contestants for the most part all looked like they had been doing the work at home, so that was a good sign. They all weighed in and when I saw Rebecca come out, I instantly knew she had won the at home prize, she was absolutely tiny.

Shay who was the biggest person ever on the show was given an opportunity to come back next season at the 2010 finale to see if she could finish getting the weight off at home. She was pretty big and even the Biggest loser can only get the weight off so fast. Subway challenged her to a thousand dollar per pound contest, basically if she loses 100 pounds she receive 100 thousand dollars, wow! With that motivation I expect Shay to come back at least 100 pounds lighter, I know I would. Oh can’t forget the best part she gets free Subway for the year, yummy.

Then the Biggest loser the turned into the love connection, as Antoine got down on one knee a proposed to Alexandra. The water works were flowing and the hugs and kisses were in abundance. The Moms of both contestants even hug each other while they exchanged sobs. It was really great to see a young couple in love, I wish them all the best.

And then came the moment we had all been waiting for the final three! The transformations of the last three contestants were in one word “stupendous!”  Rudy looked like a smaller version of himself, and Amanda made great gains as well, but Danny looked like a completely different person (as I write this I don’t know if he won but I would wager my cash on ole’ Danny boy).

Drum roll please………………… And the winner is Danny! He lost a whopping 239 pounds, which is simply unreal.  Congratulations Danny you look great! While I don’t think the biggest loser provides realistic examples of weight-loss, the journey and mind set is what we should focus on, and these men and women showed great determination and discipline. Congratulations to all the contestant for doing a great job.

I agree with your point BigGuy. This results are not typical but what we should take from shows like this is that we do have the power and control to change our lives as a whole. Even if we start from the physical.

I wish they would do a realistic Biggest Loser – i.e., you still have to work, cook your own food, raise a family, pay bills, etc.

That being said I think Danny looked amazing! But I actually thought Amanda would have lost more – from the time she weighed in at their 60 days at home, she only lost 7 more pounds until the finale – which I think was another 60 days??

Hope you have a great weekend! :D

Just shows how hard it is to do at home. Many of the contestants put the weight back on because being on that ranch just isn’t realistic.

Exactly it is within each of our grasps to succeed if we are ready for the change.
