Hello to all my folks out there in bloggervile! It has been a long time I know you missed me…LOL! I got something new for you today; I have created an alcoholic beverage that has very few calories and no carbs at all! That’s right I’m hooking you up with the secret formula to get wasted without wasting all the hard work that you are putting into the gym and in to your diet. This drink has been named ByeByeBigGuy’s White Lightning Lemon Water and you will get a kick out of it trust me. Ok let’s get started here are the ingredients:

White Rum (any kind of your choice that is NOT flavored)

Lemon Juice

Flavored seltzer water (I like black cherry for this drink)

Stevia (liquid drops)

First you pour the seltzer water in to your glass any flavor that you desire is good, but I personally like the fruity flavor of cherry mixed with lemon. Next you add the white rum this is where you determine calorie count each shot of rum is roughly about 60 calories with no carbs.

So if you do one shot your drink will only consist of 60 carbs, 2 shot 120 and so on and so forth. Next you add about a quarter cup of lemon juice but this can vary depending on how much you desire to have a lemon taste in your drink. Finally you add about 20 to 30 drops of stevia to add the sweetness to the drink. Stevia can be found at most vitamins shops like a GNC for instance.

Mix it all up and BAM! As Emeril Lagasse would say, you have heaven in a glass, but don’t let the smooth taste fool you this drink can have you slurring you words if you drink too much or too fast. Give the ByeByeBigGuy’s White Lightning Lemon Water a try and I guarantee you will be very happy with the results.

Thanks for taking the time to read a please feel free to leave a comment or inbox me if you have any questions. PEACE!

Hey all you guys and girls in bloggerville! This will be a quick post I want to do a quick check in on how my current weight loss is progressing. I am currently a sleek 207 as I am writing this post. It has been about 11 days since I posted and was at 218 and I have dropped about a pound each day.

Great right well I think I lost it so fast because it was new weight, which is weight I put on in the last month. I have been eating roughly 2200 calories a day and I have incorporated strength training and well as circuit training into my routine. In my next post I’m going to provide a sample workout and eating journal so that you guys can see just what my routine is.

One of the big things I did do just to throw it out there is drink less alcohol and I pretty much stayed away from wine completely. I have found that wine is one of the quickest ways to put on weight. So look out for the next post coming in a few days. There will also be another post in the fad diet section. Until next time don’t forget take it one day at a time and if you believe you can do it, you can!!

Fad Diet Fred is one of the authors here at byebyebigguy.com he will be putting together a series of articles detailing FAD DIETS.

The first diet I will be exploring on the site is the GM diet. This diet has roots entrenched in myth. The diet was supposedly created by the GM Company to gets its employees in shape. I did some research and can not find anything to suggest that this is true even though some other blogs make the same claim regarding the diet being invented by GM. This is a seven day diet and it is very restrictive but can be very effective in quick weight loss. During these seven days you must consume 10 glasses of water and must not drink any alcohol.

The first day of the diet you are allowed to eat all of the fruits you want with the exception of bananas and nothing else. It is suggested that you eat a large amount of melons during this day. (Surprisingly this was by far the most difficult day for me but I dropped 2 pounds on day one).

The second day of the diet you are allowed to eat all the vegetables you want and nothing else. You are to start the day off with a baked potato in order to get your fill of complex carbs but you can not consume any more potatoes after the one for breakfast. (This day was pretty easy, but I was a challenge to put a menu together).

The third day of the diet is fruit and vegetable day with the exception of bananas and potatoes. (This is the day I started craving meat, but I made it through and had already dropped 6 pounds).

The fourth day of the diet is bananas and milk day. Your are allowed to eat up to 8 bananas and 3 cups of milk on this day. There is also a GM special soup that consist of 28 oz, Water, 6 Large Onions, 2 Green Peppers, Whole Tomatoes, 1 Head Cabbage, 1 Bunch Celery, 4 Envelopes Lipton Onion Soup Mix, Herbs and Flavoring as desired that you can have in unlimited amount on this day. (Meat craving were through the roof! I substituted regular milk for soy milk since I am lactose intolerant. This was another hard day but I am determined to make it through).

The fifth day on the diet is listed as beef and tomato day. According to the directions you can have up two servings of beef in quantities of 10 oz. and you can have up two 6 tomatoes. You must also increase your water intake as well on this day. (I substituted chicken for beef, seemed to work out fine down 9 pounds at this point).

The sixth day of the diet is beef and vegetables day. You can eat an unlimited amount of beef and veggies on this day. (Once again I substituted chick for beef).

The seventh day of the diet is brown rice, fruit juice, and vegetable day. (Probably one of the easiest days because I knew it was almost over)

In the end I lost 12 pounds in all in the 7 days of the diet. Sounds good right? Well not so fast my friend. I gained back 15 pounds when I went back to my normal eating habits which are not bad if I say so myself. So in the end I had a net gain of 3 pounds. I did notice that I was more regular (poo poo) after this diet and did drop the gained weigh relatively easy after a week or so.

Review: I would recommend this diet as a periodic cleanser. Maybe something that someone does every 6 months or maybe just once a year. The diet is too restrictive to maintain on a long-term basis and as such I think it would fail. There is also very little protein in this diet so that to makes it on that is not balanced to do long-term. Any question? Please feel free to leave a comment and we will respond with any answer to your questions.

Hey all you people out there in blogerville! I have not been as active as I should have been in recent weeks but that is about to change. In the next few months I will be documenting my weight-loss journey. Yes Im back on my journey. Unfortunately I have GAINED a few pounds by not listening to my own advice. I’m up to 218 these days from the 190 – 185 I felt comfortable with. While I have continued to go to the gym at least 3 times per week I have engaged in a few unhealthy activities that have lead to the weight gain.

One thing about this site is we keep it real here, when things are great we report them when things are other wise we report them. I have really been going out and drinking way too much on the weekends (and the weekdays) and as I drink my ambitions are lowered which leads to late night COOKIE snacking (brownies too)! One thing about weight-loss at least for me is that is gives you more confidence which makes you want to go out and live life (I’m the life of the party), but in doing so you must continue to practice good habits.

One of the good things about me is that I continued to go to the gym so while I put on weight my body structure is different but I don’t want to end up being one of those fat dude in the gym who looks like he was in shape 10 years ago. So what is the plan you ask, I have listed below some of the good habits I will be reincorporating into my lifestyle:

Weigh ins: It is important to weight yourself so that you know exactly where your at.

No Drinking:(at least not as much): going to slow the drinking down. No more Margarita Mondays, fat Tuesdays, Wet Willie Wednesdays, Karaoke Thursdays, and then lets not even talk about Friday and Saturday. I’m going to limit my drinking to no more than one day a week and I’m going to monitor my in take very closely (guess I can’t drink that bottle of coconut Ciroc)

Home Cooking:I had started to eat more pre-packaged food which IS NOT what I did to lose the weight. I followed a more paleo eating style which basically means that I ate primarily natural foods which did not include very many processed foods. So I am headed back to the basics!

Gym:I absolutely love the gym even though I don’t think anyone needs to go there to lose weight (body weight exercises are great). I personally find the gym to be a stress reliever and will Never stop going (Lots of pretty girls in the gym too). One thing I will be doing is more cardio as opposed to as much weight-lifting.

Know what your eating and how much: Back to the old trusty food journal and calorie counter. If you know what you’re eating it is easier to make adjustments if you aren’t seeing success.

Those are the main building blocks that I have found to successful weight-loss. So wish me luck and post some comments let me know what your doing and how your doing it! There will also be a new segment coming out call Fad Diet Fred where one of our writers writes about different diets that he has tried himself or that someone he knows has tried. He will give his opinon on if the fad diet is worth trying or not!

Hey Guy and Girls out there in blogerville, today I want to talk about quick weight loss. Really what I mean is you weight-loss will NOT be quick, I repeat this will take some time. I started last year and I lost weight really fast, I did about 100 pounds in about 10 months. Fast right, yeah I agree but my body is not were I want it to be and it might take years for me to reach the body I want.

You see the initial weight loss is only have the battle the next half is training your body to do what it hasn’t in years “Build Muscle.” I still have about 18 percent body fat but I’m making the right training choices and the body is also starting to show the effect of my training. Another thing that we all must remember is that each of us is different and what might work well for one might not work well for someone else.

A good example of this is me and my business partner. I got the guy started about 6 months ago and told what he needed to be doing, well he listened to a degree but was adamant about lifting weights. I tried talking him out of it thinking it would only hinder his progress but he wouldn’t listen. Well I hadn’t seen him in about 2 months so we hooked up yesterday to workout and dude was ripped! Don’t get me wrong he still has weight to drop but the weight is much firmer and looks much better. That just goes to show different stroke for different folks. Listen to the blog people but remember each of us is different and what might work for me might not work for you.

I have discovered that I love to cook since starting this new life change that I have embarked on. That being said I have decided that I will share some of the healthy recipes that I have learned with my readers. One of my favorite dishes to make when I am on the grill are grilled pears. Grilled pears are a healthy way for me to satisfy my sweet tooth without all of the unhealthy calories.

Ingredients:

2 pears

1/4 cup olive oil

3 table spoons of vinegar or rice vinegar

2 pinches of pepper

20 drops of Stevia (can be found in GNC or like stores)

The first thing I do is get a few medium pears and cut them down the middle in half. I set them to the side and then I mix the rest of my ingredients in a skilet and heat the mixture until right before boiling. I then let the mixture cool in a bowl, once cool I take my pears and place them in the bowl face down.

I let the pear marinate for about 20 to 30 minuets. next I grill the pears for about 15 minuets over mediumheat. Finally serve you can also cover the top of the pears with blue cheese, or bacon if you like. Without the bacon or blue cheese if you eat all four pear half that about 300 calories.

I’ll Holla…..
